Miniature Rooms Company

I make Miniature Rooms, just like the one pictured above. They are available for purchase to serious collectors on a very limited basis.

My rooms are not reproductions of actual rooms nor do they represent a particular style or period of American architecture design. Rather, the ideas for their design come from my subconscious memories and my imagination.

I like to think of them as “Mood Pieces” or as  “Stage Sets”. Where, I hope to capture  the viewer’s attention and imagination; thereby making them an integral  part of the box , the experience and the “story”, the viewers own story. As an active participant, they then will be able to imagine for  themselves what may have just occurred within in the space and what maybe about to happen there. And, postulate what type of space is around the corner and in the spaces beyond the cracked doors.

Building these boxes is fun and therapeutic. However, for me personally, the “Creative & Planning Process” is the most rewarding and exciting.  It all begins with a blank piece of graph paper, followed by many, many sketches.  After my vision for the room has been decided, I then determine how I will physically build the box and research all the materials needed to construct it, decorate it,  and furnish it.
